Madras checks are known across the world, and this documentary shows how the fabric is made. Filmed in Nagari, a village in Andhra Pradesh with a long tradition of fabric making, it records the entire process in the traditional village style: preparing the yarns, dyeing them, and weaving the cloth on the loom.

The film was created by Sukil & Khushboo, documentary and corporate film makers based in Chennai. It follows the craft step by step, and the people who keep it alive.
